Best Waiver Wire Options for Week 14 – QB’s

Playoffs are here (for most leagues), and these are some of the guys that you may need to fill out your roster!

  • Colt McCoy, Washington Redskins

McCoy was given back the starting title last week, and he performed well. He threw for 392 yards and three touchdowns. He may have lost one of his top targets in Desean Jackson to injury, and he has a tough match-up against St. Louis this week.

  • Jake Locker, Tennessee Titans

Locker was less than impressive when he filled in for an injured Zach Mettenberger, throwing for 91 yards, one score and turning the ball over three times. If he retains the starting role, he has favorable matchups against the NYG, NYJ, and JAX the next three weeks.

  • Johnny Manziel, Cleveland Browns

Manziel hasn’t been named the starter yet, but it seems like all signs are pointing to him starting. He had one good drive leading Cleveland to a touchdown, but he also had a couple stalled drives. He would have a favorable matchup against the Colts, who have allowed the 12th most points to opposing QB’s.

  • Shaun Hill, St. Louis Rams

Hill is another quarterback who was given back the starting nod a few weeks ago. He didn’t have the biggest game, only throwing for 183 yards and two touchdowns, but the Rams destroyed the Raiders and he sat down for the rest of the game. He gets a very appealing match-up against Washington next week, who is allowing the most points to opposing QB’s.

  • Ryan Fitzpatrick, Houston Texans

Fitzpatrick is coming off a career game in which he threw for 358 yards and six touchdowns. His whole career mirrors this season: he becomes the starter, has success, struggles, is pulled, put back in and has success again. He does face Jacksonville two more times this season.
