Tonight is a great night to play daily fantasy hockey, so I hope you have your skates laced up tight for this one. There are a couple obvious matchups on the board and a few that you can get a little tricky with as well. Normally I would go into a big long rant before jumping in, but I can’t wait, so let’s get to it!

Top G: Cory Schneider / NJ-G / $18,706

There have been a handful of goalies who have really turned it on during the second half of the season, and Schneider is in the top three. He has been damn near impossible to beat and has two wins against the Blue Jackets in two games played.

Value G: Jimmy Howard / DET-G / $16,165

The Red Wings get the Flames on the second night of a back to back, so I like their chances in this one. It’s not like Howard hasn’t been great this season either. He has a 2.20 GAA and a .920 save percentage. They’re not elite numbers, but they are well above average.

Top LW: Zach Parise / MIN-LW / $13,726

There aren’t a ton of guys at the LW position that I like tonight. Parise can be used almost any night. Given the similarities in the way these two teams play, don’t expect a high scoring affair, but Zach gets it done in these types of games.

Value LW: Matt Moulson / BUF-LW / $7,104

I have to apologize because earlier today I stated that I wouldn’t take anyone from Buffalo tonight. I tend to forget that these two teams play each other frequently throughout the season. Moulson has a goal and two assists in three games against the Senators this year.

Top RW: Bobby Ryan / OTT-RW / $12,155

Ryan scored a hat trick earlier this season against the Sabres and since Buffalo gave away any goalie that gave them a prayer via trades, I like his chances to do it again. He offers tremendous value at the price too.

Value RW: Jakob Silfverberg / ANH-RW / $8,233

Sometimes I don’t like to reach too far down into the pool for value. Silfverberg has fit in nicely on the second line and if he sticks there, he is well worth the salary. It’s not an easy matchup, but Anaheim is the favorite.

Top C: Ryan Getzlaf / ANH-C / $14,581

Crosby was great the last time these two teams played, but the Pens were at home. This time, it is Getzlaf’s turn, who still had two assists in that first game. Captain Duck is on the attack!

Value C: Antoine Vermette / CHI-C / $7,741

With Patrick Kane out, the Blackhawks needed to make a move somewhere to remain in the hunt for another Stanley Cup. Vermette certainly helps and if he is featured as much as we all figure he should be, this is the lowest his salary will be for the rest of the season. Take advantage while you can.

Top D: Erik Karlsson / OTT-D / $12,000

It’s Buffalo and it’s beautiful. Karlsson has a goal and two assists against the Sabres this season. I think this one is a no brainer.

Value D: Eric Gelinas / NJ-D / $5,552

If you read my Morning Skate article, you would know why I like Gelinas. With Zidlicky out, someone has to take over on the first power play. That someone is Gelinas.
