G: Russell Westbrook, Oklahoma City Thunder, $23,620

I am back on the Russell Westbrook bandwagon. Over the past few weeks, I have definitely advocated against playing Westbrook in any type of games. His salary was inflated to the point where he just couldn’t produce. I know he’s only dropped about $1,000, but the Thunder need to win tonight’s game if they want any chance for the playoffs. Sacramento will be without Rudy Gay and DeMarcus Cousins, which will open things up.

Value Plays

F: Ryan Kelly, Los Angeles Lakers, $7,279

Who would have thought I would be talking about the Lakers as viable fantasy option? For today’s article, I decided to offer up two value plays because so many top players are either hurt or will be resting. I don’t want to play the guessing game. Kelly has been effective over the past three games, averaging 21.7 fantasy points per game. The Timberwolves rank dead last in defensive efficiency.

F: Derrick Williams, Sacramento Kings, $6,176

The Kings are going to be short-handed once again, so it’s all about value when picking players from California’s capital. In the past two games, Williams has averaged 30 minutes per game and is hitting some great numbers. The starting lineups won’t be determined until late, so monitor the situation. I hope George Karl makes the right call and rolls with Williams.
