NBA DFS Value City 3-13-15

Often times in daily fantasy basketball you can fall victim to value situations that just don’t work out the way they are supposed to. That exact situation occurred last night, when the Memphis Grizzlies rested four of their starters, and no value play exceeded value. That can tend to happen once in a while, but it shouldn’t cause you to shy away from advantageous situations. The Golden State Warriors have all but locked up the one seed in the West and will rest four of their starters tonight. Should the Warriors be heavily featured in your lineup on Friday night? It’s time to head down to Value City.

G Shaun Livingston-GSW ($8,064) @DEN

Any time I can grab a starting point guard with upside at 8k I just can’t shy away from that type of value. Shaun Livingston has been solid in a backup role all season for the Warriors, and has a solid matchup against Ty Lawson and the Nuggets. This game should be high scoring, and Livingston can fill up the stat sheet.

G Avery Bradley-BOS ($9,894) ORL

Speaking of players that will be stepping up due to injuries, Avery Bradley should have a great opportunity to carry the offense for the Celtics tonight with Isaiah Thomas missing his second game in a row against Orlando. Victor Oladipo is a solid defender, but I’m confident that Avery will still manage to get his stats for a shallow Boston team that is scratching and clawing for the 8-seed in the East.

F Nikola Mirotic-CHI ($9,580) @CHA

The Chicago Bulls are still without Taj Gibson, Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler, and Joakim Noah sat out Wednesday’s game against Philadelphia. With a shallow rotation, Nikola Mirotic will continue to see 30-40 minutes, and have 30-35 point upside. In addition, the Hornets will be without both Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller, giving you even more reason to roster Miro tonight.

F Michael Kidd-Gilchrist-CHA ($12,344) CHI

Kemba Walker just returned for the Hornets, and hasn’t been fully included in the offense just yet. As I alluded to earlier, Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller will sit for the Hornets, meaning that there are plenty of touches available for MKG, who is coming off a 39.25 fantasy point performance on Wednesday against the Kings. He will be playing 30+ minutes in a great matchup against Mike Dunleavy, so I like his chances to have another solid offensive outing.

C Bismack Biyombo-CHA ($7,405) CHI

At the top of the article I mentioned that there might be multiple Warriors featured, but it’s actually two Hornets that made the cut tonight. Without Al Jefferson and Cody Zeller, Bismack Biyombo will draw the start at Center against a Bulls team that will be without Taj Gibson. Joakim Noah has been dealing with some injuries issues over the last week, and if he is less than 100% that could lead to an offensive outbreak from Biyombo in a spot start. A gamble like this one in GPPs could have tremendous upside for your fantasy squad.
