Nascar Power Rankings – Part 2

Published On June 24, 2013 | By Daily Fantasy Source | Fantasy Nascar Strategy, Nascar

The road course at Sonoma brings on some interesting names that you don’t typically see throughout the NASCAR season. Martin Truex Jr. ended his winless streak that had reached over 200 races, so congratulations are well overdue for the No. 56 race team.

The NASCAR circuit now heads to Kentucky for the Quaker State 400 Presented by Advanced Auto Parts (say that five times fast) for a Saturday night race. Here is a look at the updated power rankings for the Fantasy NASCAR drivers heading into the week.

6. Greg Biffle

Last Week: 6th

Finish at Sonoma: 8th

Overall Standing: 6th

Take: Biffle has been one of the hottest racers in NASCAR over the past few weeks, so it will be fun to see how long he can keep that streak going.

7. Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Last Week: 10th

Finish at Sonoma: 12th

Overall Standing: 7th

Take: Dale hasn’t really done anything spectacular yet this season, but he’s been solid enough to stay in this spot all season long.

8. Martin Truex Jr.

Last Week: NR

Finish at Sonoma: 1st

Overall Standing: 10th

Take: It was a big sigh of relief for Truex and the No. 56 team to finally get the monkey off their back, and now they are solidly in the Chase if the season were to end today.

9. Kasey Kahne

Last Week: NR

Finish at Sonoma: 6th

Overall Standing: 11th

Take: Kahne didn’t have a mind blowing finish at Sonoma, and his overall standings have him only in the Wild Card, but he has shown a lot of promise this season.

10. Brad Keselowski

Last Week: 8th

Finish at Sonoma: 21st

Overall Standing: 9th

Take: Despite his struggles and penalties, the defending champ finds himself in the Chase, even though he doesn’t have a win to his credit.
